Simply put, as the title suggests, who is your favorite author? Also, it would be cool if you put a little detail into it.
Mine is probably Tammi Hoag. Her stories are bone chilling and suspenceful. I've only gone through two, but I can say they were pretty good. I could actually imagine her stories taking place, which is good for any book. They do get a mite graphic though. But overall, they're good.

It may sound grotesquely stereotypical, but Joanne Kathleen Rowling has had me captivated with her series from book one right until book seven. I was so influenced by her stories that I forced my mom to get into them, with the exact same effect on her. Which is good.

Wow, you almost made J.K. Rowling look like a completely unknown author. But then again, who doesn't get the picture when you see the word "Rowling"?  I don't really have a favorite author. And that's probably because I a) don't read much and b) have a bunch of different authors that tie for favorite spot. I'll just pick a topic to zoom in on though... how about poetry? Achebe is climbing up the list of my favorite authors. Things Fall Apart is pretty interesting as it stands.
